The main congress was attended by 810 participants from 44 countries around the world on a hybrid basis, with no less than 400 participants participating directly in Bali. The WPSC-APSA Congress 2022 consisted of four Pre-Congress events, two Plenary sessions, about 120 Parallel sessions, GPEAN and APSA Committee meetings, and three mobile workshops.
The Pre-Congress events consisted of International Ph.D. Colloquium, Planning Studio, International Students Competition, and Global Planning Students Meeting, as agenda, to enrich planning education that complements the WPSC and APSA Congress. Totally about 1,247 participants attended the pre-Congress and main Congress events.
From the GPEAN Committee meeting, the GPEAN board has selected Prof. Zeynep Enlil as Chair, Prof. Paulo Silva as Vice Chair, and Prof. Deden Rukmana as Secretary. The next WPSC event will be held in 2026, and the Steering Committee for the next Congress has been nominated.
While from the APSA Committee Meeting, Prof. Bakti Setiawan has been chosen for the APSA Chairman 2022-2024 period. The next APSA Congresses will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2024, and Hongkong in 2026.
