Today’s planning discourse deals with complexity and uncertainty at an unprecedented level. While the effects of globalization and disruptive Industrial Revolution 4.0 are taking place, the current Covid-19 pandemic situation escalates tensions for safeguarding the pursuit of planning outcomes. Governments and stakeholders at both the Global North and Global South have approached such challenges differently by administering certain governance setting intertwined with political nuance ranging from the local to global levels. The results have echoed the importance of acknowledging diversity, inclusion, and collaboration in planning practice. Therefore, this track welcomes papers to discuss a huge variety of experiences and ideas of innovative governance and politics underlying common planning practice.
