Access to transportation is a critical component to achieve the quality of life. It is crucial to improve social inclusion and allow people to access employment, essential services, and facilities. In recent decades, rapid urbanization has led to unprecedented challenges and opportunities to shape the future of mobility. Technological innovation as well as information systems and data-driven services raise endless possibilities.
Climate change, the environmental impact of providing transportation infrastructure, economic development challenge to create sustainable, accessible, efficient, and affordable transportation and mobility solutions. Sometimes solutions and technologies might be disruptive, as well as smart mobility innovation has advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, disruption in transportation and mobility also occur as a result of the pandemic COVID-19.
This track welcomes papers to discuss but not limited to the provision of inclusive transportation, innovation in transportation infrastructure, smart mobility, the environmental impact of transportation, disruptive transportation and technologies, impacts of pandemic COVID-19 on transportation and mobility, freight transportation.
