The International Ph.D. The colloquium is a discussion forum, jointly organized by the WPSC APSA 2022 and Planning Doctoral Schools of GPEAN members, where global postgraduate students are invited to present their undergoing research at every stage they are working on – proposal, analysis, discussion, etc. – in planning-related discipline across regions.

It is an opportunity for supervisors and students to expand knowledge of the current planning trends through others’ work and lectures and gather feedback for their recent research. It also served as media for global networking among Ph.D. students and schools offering Ph.D. programs. The colloquium will be held on an online platform through zoom event, including Ph.D. Colloquium lectures and Ph.D. candidate’s presentation and discussion. The lecturers and discussants will come from the planning schools of GPEAN members.

Target participants:

• All/global Ph.D. students in planning and related fields
• Prospective Ph.D. students in planning
• Global planning schools offering the Ph.D. program in planning
• Individual Ph.D. supervisors

Expected output:

• New motivations, progress, and perspectives for Ph.D. students in planning
• Documentation/knowledge on varieties of Ph.D. programs in global planning
• Networking and collaboration among students and schools offering Ph.D. programs in planning.

Ph.D. Colloquium submission requirement:

• The submission is open to all postgraduate students/Ph.D. candidates in the planning-related field. However, a quota selection will be applied to only 60 Ph.D. candidates’ presentations.
• The topic is unlimited; we will be grouping the sessions according to the submitted abstracts.
• The Ph.D. colloquium is a Pre-Congress WPSC-APSA 2022 program as a complement event for Ph.D. students who have already registered to the WPSC-APSA Congress (abstracts authors/co-authors, or participants) and wish to present their work in the Ph.D. colloquium, with no additional charge.
• The participants of the Ph.D. colloquium are open to all Ph.D. planning students, supervisors, and schools.

Entry guidelines. Please provide:

• An abstract with title and topic description, including the list of all members of your supervisory team (please download the template on this page)
• A presentation file after the acceptance notification. Information will be given.
• Information by filling out the registration application and form.
